Now known as the The Philippine Federation of Japan Alumni (PHILFEJA) is the umbrella organization of the major alumni associations whose members are former students who graduated from Japanese colleges and universities, including grantees of training programs in the fields of science and technology, specialized professional trainings in public and private institutions in Japan, among other similar professional training and education.
PHILFEJA was organized on July 17, 1976 under the guidance and initiative of the late Ambassador Jose S. Laurel III. Over the years, it has been playing the important role in promoting closer and deeper relationships between Philippines and Japan.
